Meet Andrea Blachman...

Andrea has been a board member since May 1998, serving as Chairwoman from 1999 - July 2003. She has lived in the Bay Area most of her life. She and her husband, Allan Blachman, are the parents of 3 adult children and 5 grandchildren. At the age of 35, she returned to UC Davis to complete her Bachelors of Science degree with an individual major in Youth Guidance and Counseling. She strongly believes in being actively involved in the community where she lives. She and Al were active in the schools when their children were growing up and in their youth programs. For over 15 years, she served on the Board of Directors of Phoenix Programs, Inc. both as a board member and for several years as president. She served for 10 years on the Board of Directors of the Clayton Historical Society, serving as President as well. She and Al moved to Martinez in 2000. She is volunteering as a docent and helping archive donations at the Martinez Historical Society.

Andrea's work experience is the field of accounting and tax preparation. She currently works for Accupay Systems, Inc. in a technical support capacity.
