It was unlikely that I would find many hints to the "meaning of life" as an independent business consultant in the financial services industry. However, after volunteering in We Care's Explorers classroom for a year, I must admit, it was a very humbling and very meaningful experience. We Care provides services for approximately 200 children every year, and that particular year, I was able to touch the lives of 18 children and make a difference.

Shortly thereafter, in 2001, I joined We Care's Board of Directors. This opportunity has allowed me to stay connected to the center and give back to the community through an organization that I have become very passionate about. I have been inspired by We Care's awesome staff and their dedication to serving children with special needs and because I have witnessed firsthand the positive impact it has made to the children and their families, I only wish we could serve more.
